KEF grants awarded April 2021

Mrs. Winterringer's students enjoying some books
The Kamiah Education Foundation graciously purchased these book carts for Mrs. Winterringer’s Third Grade Classroom. These carts allow for better organization of books, reducing the amount of time students spend looking for a good book, and increasing the amount of time they spend actively reading and enjoying literature. Thank you to the Kamiah Education Foundation for your contribution and support in my classroom.
Kamiah elementary students show some of the books donated to the elementary library in the spring of 2021.
Grants awarded in Fall of 2019
The Kamiah Education Foundation awarded $8,200 to staff during the in the first part of the 2019 - 2020 school year. My Physical Science students recently completed The Mars Rover Insulation Challenge. Students had the opportunity to design, build, and test their rovers to meet the following design criteria: rovers had to be able to drive in a loop around the classroom using a Sphero Mini robot (donated by the Kamiah Education Foundation), have insulation that would keep water as hot as possible for 10 minutes, and carry 10 rock samples (pennies).
